Picturesque town of the welfth century with genovese structures which maintain the enchantment of a mariner town . The Genovese castle, the St.Lorenzo church, consacrated in the year 1130, but completely reconstructed in the years 1932/35 contains special works of art.
(Ancona Marmorea atributed to Mino da Fiesole) The white Madonna from the fourteenth century and the beautifull major altar. In the sacresty magnificent treasures boxes in arab ivory.
At the edge of the steep hill the very old St Peters church built in 1277 on preexisting foundations of the sixth century.
